Temporal Lobe Epilepsy?

So I'm a recently turned 19 year old, sophomore in college. I have been having hallucinatory episodes (auditory and visual) since my junior year in high school, only two or three times a year, and usually when I'm depressed. However, I always know when the hallucinations are coming, as I will be unable to stop pulling my hair out, my eyes lose focus, and then all of a sudden I get very still and unresponsive, and extremely frightened and paranoid. I usually try to go off by myself. Then a hallucination will occur, lasting approximately 30 seconds. I know that what I'm seeing is not real, but I can't make it go away until it decides to. A friend eventually got me to see a psychologist, who thought it could be TLE. I am posting because I am wondering if these symptoms necessarily stack up to TLE? I have been reading the forum and haven't seen much about associated hallucinations. And I know that I'm depressed right now, but I can't sort out whether or not it's a symptom or the source for all of this. There isn't much of a reason for me to be depressed, it's summer. Anyway, I'm heading to a neurologist in a few days, but I wanted to see if there's any advice as to how my symptoms (I could be more specific if the right questions are asked, it's hard to describe unprompted) stack up to what the psychiatric unit at my college thinks I'm suffering from. Any information would be much appreciated; at this point my parents are in denial and making it very difficult for me to find appropriate help for myself. Thanks so much.

Hi! Table I understand completely where you are coming from huney I remember totally that you definately that you go to the neurologist and get some help your symptoms definately sound as though you are having simple partial seizures if not worse so I think that they need to start to do some testings and determine exactly what your brain is doing and get you on some meds so that they won't get worse if all goes worst. And my recmmends if if you are not happy with the first decision don't by any means hesitate with that. I have had epilepsy all of my life and my parents never took me to the neurologist. When I was twenty and had two boys I had my first grand mal and when to a neurologist and after twelve years she finally tried to tell me that I was having psuedoseizures because I was breaking through my meds but after going to Boston Med. They determined that I needed to have a Left Temporal Lobectomy with removal of two other peices of my brain because of the damage from of all the seizure that had occurred from my childhood because of my mother didn't want to admitted that there was anything going on. Therefore when my seizures actually showed with my grand mal my brain had suffered alot of damaged because I had had some many seizures that weren't treated created correctly. My oldest boy had febrile seizures at the age of 18 months and soon after developed the simple partial seizures and started treating him because I didn't want him to suffer the way that I did. He has done much better so I would highly recommend you to follow through with the examination and feel comfortable with the examination.
