is it a seizure?

Mon, 12/19/2016 - 12:57
my 14 month old granddaughter was sitting on the floor playing. it was midnight so she was very tired. All of a sudden she started to fall backwards ..I thought falling asleep at first. i caught her and tried to sit her back up.. she was falling sideways/back.. couldnt hold herself up.not answering me or looking at me. I picked her up .. she was unresponsive- looked to be staring toward the light.. not making a sound or focusing on me when i tried to get her to look at me. I turned around and she looked back toward the light. got on the floor and tried to stand her and she just slumped..still no response or recognition all the way downstairs ..handed her to grandpa ans was going to call her Mom.. the second time grandpa said her name she looked at him and smiled.. after a couple minutes was fin.. babbling.. a little unsteady for minute or so but then fine. I have never dealt with anything like this. It sort of sounds like a couple kinds of seizures i read about but not exactly. any insite would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
