I am having tingling sensations in my head

Wed, 12/28/2016 - 22:55
Hi, I'm zo, 25 years old female. I've been having tingling sensations in my head for 6 months now. I've been to the doctor twice, all he does is give me vitamin tablets which don't work. (i'm going to the doctor again) My mother has epilepsy for 30 years now. She has the worst kind. I'm worried that this tingling sensation I have, might cause seizures in the future, btw I haven't had any seizures yet. I wouldn't be so worried if my mother didn't have epilepsy and recently my 2 year old nephew has been diagnosed with epilepsy, he has the kind my mother has. I've also had pins and needles sensation since i'm 18. Since the past month I'm feeling numbness in my hands and feet and tingling in other parts of my body too. I've had 2 blood test which were normal. Since all these symptoms can be caused by diabetes, I've had my blood sugar tested a few times and that is normal. The tingling sensation happens on the right side of my head. I don't feel different just the tingling sensation and I can do everything when it happens. It happens a few times a day, sometimes just once. I wonder if this has happened to any of you? Can anyone here tell me if this is somekind of epilepsy? Or will be in the future.. Any suggestions on what I should do besides going to the doctor again? And what I should ask my doctor during my next appointment..?

Have you told the doctor

Have you told the doctor about your family history with epilepsy? It's certainly worth investigating! I get brief tingling sensations in my head from time to time, but as far as I'm aware it's not related to my epilepsy, however there is a lot of helpful information on the epilepsy websites which can help you to recognise symptoms better. Hope you get it sorted, it can be a battle with the doctors as they have to be careful not to misdiagnose things.

I have been having tingling

I have been having tingling in my head for over 1 yr and no one can tell me what it is. I have been to 6 types of doctors including spine, neuro, and neuro ophthalmology. I have no family with diabetes or epilepsy. I dont smoke, dont do drugs or even drink alcohol. I eat healthy.  I just want the tingling to stop. It's in the top of and back of my head. Im at the point where I am now becoming mentally unstable due to the condition. I have no hope and all doctors are quacks. Maybe your post will get the answers I need as well. Thanks for posting.
