epilipsey or anything else

dear i am confused whether i have epilipsey or something else
after every 10-15 days a jerk comes and my memory power goes out for 5 sec during that period i cant see and cant remember any thind and talk uselessly some time start asking for water ,tea or start drumming my table.before attck some gas type happen and the same time my mind say to drink water.before every attack it alert me first
before 17 yrs i had meningitis and was recovered.
this attack is happening since 7 yrs i took treatment for 5 yrs andalso took medicine like epilex,diamox but of not use still i am taking treatment but of no use
i dont know the cause of it
please help me

For what you describe, you seem to be suffering from myoclonic jerks and partial complex seizures when you say things and eat without you knowing it. After having a infection such as meningitis, scar tissue may have developed in your brain and it could be the cause of your seizures. Speech problems and memory loss are side effects of seizure activity. Please consult your neurologist so you can get them under control. Best wishes
