Bought a new Car a month ago. Lost my license this week due to seizure

Hi, I'm so angry and frustrated. I bought a new car a month ago. A week ago, I had a seizure at work. The first seizure I've had in 13 years. I forgot to take my morning meds and I didn't get hardly any sleep the night before. I was in the hospital for 2 days. EEG, MRI, CT scan all showed nothing different from before the seizure. So now I can't drive. i don't know for how long. And I have to pay insurance and payments on a car I can't drive!!! I could scream!!! It's taken me so long to be able to get a new car and now this. And here in California where good public transportation is a real problem, living without a car is a disability. I know there's people here that have gone through this. I don't what to do next.

Look I know it sucks. I have been living and dealing with epilepsy for 50+ yearsEpilepsy is considered a disability. Driving a car isn't. A person can get around without driving. I have and I lived in California. They do have public transportation out there. My mother lives in Chula Vista and hasn't driven in about 20 years now.Understand too that yes drivers licenses are revoked because of your seizure. All states require that to be done. LAWS are written to protect the population and within the law there is a requirement that "a person must go XXX months without a seizure before driving"... Meaning if you don't have any seizures for that number of months your car can then be driven by YOU... Just think your new car won't have any more mileage on it.As for screaming do that too since it releases pent up energy that can also trigger a seizure in some people
