Does anyone else feel like you know when your seizure is coming?
Fri, 01/25/2008 - 16:03Hey, I'm new...I've had epilepsy since I was about 11...I'm almost 18 now. Anyways, sometimes, most days when I'm about to have a seizure, throughout the day, I have these weird "feelings". I can't really describe it, but I think there is a word for it, like a warning signal I guess. I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about. But the feeling is really weird, like all of a sudden, I get the chills, and my body feels cold, and I get this weird feeling, almost like a da sha vuu, like I remember "thinking" this thought before, but then I forget it. I don't know...it's very weird, and I know I'm probably not making any sense. Anyways, I know I'm not having a seizure then because I am fully conscious and don't make any movements. But I might have a few of those moments through out the day leading up to my seziure.
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else got thos feelings, since I suspect it's related to my epilepsy. Or maybe you want to share any other ways you know you're seziure is coming on.
I have complex partial seizures by the way.

I've been having grand mal seizures since I was 14 (now 19) and your right the feeling you get is hard to explain but I will try my best. I'll feel a bit off all day and right before I'll sort of get a de ja vu feeling, I won't remember what I was thinking or talking about, some light headedness. Then all the sudden I can't talk, I don't know my surroundings, I feel sick to my stomach, and then it starts to happen sometime after that.

Hi! I'm just about 19 and just got back from a real shitty hospital trip but wow I have never read such none sense that makes just so much sense to me!! I have had epilepsy since I was 2 and never been able to explain the aura feeling to anyone as well as these completely amazing people! I'd love to talk to someone with epilepsy like I have one day and make no sense together! :)
