Why do the seizures happen out of nowhere? besides the basic triggers, why else?

She just drops out of nowhere, could be watching a movie and giggling, flapping, enjoying herself.  We always make sure she is fed, washed, enough exercise, enough sleep. I understand her autism could play a role in stress related seizures especially when there is self injury involved such as her severe head punching or head banging, but sometimes it doesn't make any sense!  Then all of a sudden she just seizes, could be small ones, could be a whole group of them one after another after another, or could be a bigger seizure.  That is only one example, there are a ton of situations where the seizures just come out of left field it seems. I'm completely confused and don't understand what could be triggering them? Can seizures happen like this? Can they be unexpected and literally out of left field for no apparent reason?

Uh, you need to do some online homework. Look to the left of where you're reading this message and you should see a vertical menu, with some of the headings being 'All about Epilepsy & Seizures', 'Diagnosis', 'Treatment', 'Seizure Preparedness', 'Living with Epilepsy', and so on. Point and click on those heading and you'll be able to locate a whole lot of information, including answers to question you have no idea of asking.

Knowledge is power, but you are the one who needs to do the reading in order to decrease the amount of fear you have concerning seizures and epilepsy.
