advice about Klonopin (Clonazepam)

I just found out that klnoppin is addictive and have been taking .5mg in the morning and .5 at nightime for 2 months. After finding out what a hassle it is to getting off benzos, I wish I had not started it, and now want to get off of it. I wish doctors would warn you when they are prescribing something so addictive. Any one have any experience with getting this dosage for this amount of time succesfully?

cool. thanks for your adive everyone! I feel more confident now, i was just reading so much horror stuff online that it was scaring me a lot. Thank you again for your input.

as long as you taper you won't seize but it's no fun.
but this is what happened to me and what i believe caused my general epilesy.
a doctor raised my dose to 8 mg/dayand cut me off i did'nt really care because i have stopped this before with a few mild problems, but, a week later i got knocked out three days wound up in icu from kidney failure and am paralyzed and bedridden to this day because of chronic pain.since then i keep having petit mal seizures which i never had before so i'm on klonopin, tegratol, and keppra.
i think the drugs make me very depressed i keep thinking about that gun down the hall.
