The Epilepsy Foundation Ohio is committed to serving anyone affected by seizures or epilepsy in Ohio. As a chapter of the Epilepsy Foundation of America, our mission is the same- to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures find cures and save lives.
We were established in 1974 by Joan Schreck of Kettering and served the greater Dayton, Ohio region. In September 2018, our mission expanded to serving all of Ohio.
In addition to a small staff, the local chapter has an Advisory Board, made up of Ohioans who are committed to our mission. Together, we work to improve the lives of those in our area living with epilepsy and their families.
