The Epilepsy Foundation, a national non-profit with local organizations throughout the United States, has led the fight against seizures since 1968. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Technical Project Manager position encompasses a wide range of global IT-cross departmental projects which requires both hands on, daily management and scope of planning ability.
  • Responsible for end-to-end deployment of the project(s) in terms of integration, schedule, cost, delivery, change control, quality and customer acceptance.
  • Technical Project Manager will work directly with developers and delivery teams.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
  • Lead planning and/or testing phases of projects.
  • May participate in the design and/or testing of projects.
  • Provide project budget and resource allocation and communicate projects status and coordinate control gates.
  • Create, execute and perform technical project work plans.
  • Collaborate with business end users to advise the development of design specifications that will improve the performance, usability, and effectiveness of customer facing interfaces and operability.
  • Proactively manager changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to build positive work relationships across many fronts.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant IT applications.
  • Experience using MS Project to track schedules, dependencies and resource capacity allocation.
  • Exceptional business writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Clear understanding of web application development principals.
  • Experience in preparing documentation for technical and process projects and briefs.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases with the ability to troubleshoot, test and advise on projects using MS SQL and MySQL platforms.
  • Experience with IOS and Android frameworks.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Computing Platform and Services.
  • Experience with latest Drupal CMS platform and Bootstrap framework.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms (i.e., MSBI, Tableau).
  • Experience with Agile software development approaches.
  • Project Management Professional certification a plus.
