The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago provides counseling, advocacy and educational services to people with epilepsy, their families, and the communities in which they live. The organization serves 44 counties in the Greater Chicago area. In its service area, nearly 140,000 individuals live with epilepsy. The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago is committed to leading the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

Programs & Resources
Client Services
The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago provides adults, children, and families access to professional assistance that will enhance their ability to manage issues related to epilepsy and improve their quality of life. This includes individual counselling, mental health counselling, comprehensive case management, support groups, and several interactive programs such as Camp Blackhawk, Kids & Teens Club, and Adult Client Outings.
Education
The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago provides free, age-appropriate educational programs for students, teachers, nurses, and other school staff, as well as corporate offices, on seizure recognition and first aid. These programs help to minimize stigma and alleviate misconceptions related to epilepsy.
Advocacy
The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago is committed to giving people impacted by epilepsy the ability to successfully advocate for themselves and the epilepsy community. These advocates speak to the needs of people with epilepsy and share their personal stories.
