On June 5 and 6, 2014, the Epilepsy Foundation held its 4th Biennial Epilepsy Pipeline Update Conference, an initiative of the Epilepsy Therapy Project. This conference highlighted  many promising epilepsy innovations that could lead to marked changes for people with epilepsy. The journal Epilepsy & Behavior has published the conference proceedings, entitled The Epilepsy Foundation’s 4th Biennial Epilepsy Pipeline Update Conference which is available here:

The Epilepsy Pipeline Conference is unique in that it involves people from known and emerging private sector companies, scientists, investors, advocates, and families with epilepsy. The conference is designed to stimulate new ideas, build collaboration between companies and people and help get products that can help people with epilepsy to the marketplace quicker. Presentations from this conference and the “Shark Tank” competition are summarized in this paper, which is followed by a compilation of the meeting poster abstracts.
