Will the Nexoplanon Implant make have a seizure ?

Fri, 06/09/2017 - 15:30
Hi, I take 100mg of Lamictal Seizure medicine. I've been looking for all forms of birth control. I took an oral birth control in 2012 my freshman year in College it was the lowest does 10mg but 3months later I had a seizure and my parents took me completely off the oral birth control pill. From my understanding. IF YOU TAKE LAMICTAL SEIZURE MEDICINE. ALL ORAL MEDICINE FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL COULD MAKE YOU HAVE A SEIZURE ( Because the seizure medicine and birth control are passing ways orally. The birth control can either decrease your seizure medicine or your seizure medicine can take over the birth control and it won't be in effect at all). I wanted to try the Nexoplanon something my OBGYN recently just advised and she said the implant would be between two muscle tissues and it would be fine because it's not crossing paths with my oral seizure medicine. I called my neurologist to DOUBLE CHECK! He said he has done his reasearch and it would be fine but I want to know from anybody else who takes Lamictal seizure medicine have you tried it ? & if so how does it work for you ? Before I do this implant !
