starting Epilepsy drugs during pregnancy

Hello all,

I have read a lot about planing pregnancy when already having epilepsy, my wife had epilepsy when she was a child, now that she is pregnant with her 3rd child, her epilepsy has returned. i couldn't find anything regarding whether and how to start taking anti epilepsy drugs during pregnancy? and how will it affect the baby which is 18 Weeks now.

If she is having seizures

If she is having seizures again then she needs to see a neurologist who can prescribe meds to control her seizures. The neurologists can prescribe meds that pregnant women can take that will not effect the unborn child. She needs to have all her doctors know all the medications she takes because one med can counter her others. So have her or the both of you go to a neurologist and talk and ask questions regarding this issue
