Newly Pregnant and taking Depakote

Wed, 07/05/2017 - 11:01
I just found out I am in my first month of pregnancy and am taking Depakote. My doctor immediately started to wean me off of that medication due to it being a Category X drug. I am still going to have to take my Zonigran, but due to my VNS implant, we think it will be okay. I would like to hear from other people who were on Depakote during their first trimester and hear their stories. I am very worried and need to know what I am facing from people that fully understand our situations. My heart goes out to you all.
