New symptoms

Mon, 08/05/2019 - 14:14
Hi I'm new, first post. I'm 35 and have had seizures most of my life (partial complex) but I've noticed since I've gotten older I'm getting new symptoms after i have a seizure. Like sometimes i will have super sensitive hearing after i have one, certain pitches and tones just hurt my ears. Is it normal to develop new things like this?

Hi! I’m new too, first

Hi! I’m new too, first comment... I’m 35 too and had seizures since 15. Sorry if my english is not that correct, I’m not a native speaker... I don’t remember feeling any new symptons after the seizures lately, actually I just remember paying attention to more or new “signs” that I will have one. I used to take Depakote and I’m trying to chance to a pregnancy (more) safe medication. In my country it’s not very common Keppra, but i have faith it will work for me. Depakote was perfect, but I first tried to switch to Trileptal, didn’t work....now I’m trying Keppra. Do you have kids?Sorry I could answer your question, have you talk to your doctor about all these?

I don't think it's odd to

I don't think it's odd to have different or new symptoms the older we get.  Hormones can have an affect as well.  It would be a good idea for you to mention these newer symptoms to your neurologist or epileptologist.
