Hello, My name is Kiernan. When I was 9 years old I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, my Epilepsy is a battle I fight everyday because my seizures are not 100% controlled. I am currently 18 years old and my seizures are more violent and destructive then they have ever been before. Along with my Epilepsy, I have a blood condition called Hemochromatosis. Epilepsy and Hemochromatosis have had a huge impact on my life and they have caused me to have Depression along with Severe Anxiety.

Hi dreambeauty,  Thanks so much for posting. It’s important that you continue follow-up with your healthcare team to express your concerns and discuss your feelings of depression and severe anxiety, as well as, side effects, seizure types, changes in behaviors and symptoms. https://www.epilepsy.com/sites/core/files/atoms/files/pg2L_HealthCareVisits_09-2018.pdfSometimes it's helpful to connect with other people who live with, or care for those with epilepsy,  to ask questions, share experiences, find & give support to each other, by contacting your local Epilepsy Foundation at:  epilepsy.com/localsupport,  to find support groups, events, and programs in your community. Additionally our Epilepsy andSeizures 24/7 Helpline: 1-800-332-1000, contactus@efa.org  ,  epilepsy.com/helpline , can assist in connecting you to resources, provide referrals and additional support.
