14 yo newly diagnosed with Generalized Seizure Disorder frontal lobe dominant but on both sides

HI Everyone, My daughter was just diagnosed with this yesterday. Her seizures are not even seen by the naked eye but has a lot of seizure activity based on her EEG. Her Doctor prescribed 1000 mg of Keppra, stating after 2 years on the medication, she may outgrow it. I am extremely worried about the side effects from the medication and was told CBD was not an option. I'm most concerned about the possibility of depression, suicidal thoughts and violent outburst. I would appreciate any feedback on what sort of side effects that you or your teen has experienced. This is a lot to take in. Thank you
