"Scared feeling"

Tue, 08/15/2017 - 22:51
Hi, My name is Lily. I am 16 years old and was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the age of 7. I have not had a "major" seizure since i was 7 but i have had auras/partial seizures. I have been experiencing feelings such as being frightened of surroundings, thinking about childhood memories, rush of something through my body, shaking of legs and/or arms, nautous, and afraid of the dark and quietness. None of my doctors have been able to figure this out even though i've had many EEGs.. can anyone relate?? Thanks!!!! :))

Hi Lily, my name is Aoife ( Efa) & I’m almost 15. I have an                   “ undetermined “ type of epilepsy which is frustrating so I can relate. It was supposedly Benign Rolandic but before having life threatening surgery( in Sydney , I live in Ireland so it was quite expensive to fly there) it turns out my neurologist was wrong & the surgery didn’t go ahead ,so now it’s “ undetermined “. I’ve had many EEG’s ( in my opinion very annoying to have with long hair)but they just don’t know. But recently I’ve been to London to get EEG’s , MRI’s , an echo  , everything you can think of,& im awaiting the results. I think you just have to have faith in your neurologist. Even though mine was wrong, it motivated her to try & figure out what it is. So she fought hard to get me to London & ( after 7 months ) I got there. I have diabetes ( type 1) too ( first in my family to get it) so life’s though, but ( this is very cheesy) “ the bigger the storm, the brighter your future” . Basically just stay positive & eventually you’ll get there
