Is this Epilepsy

Tue, 04/17/2018 - 23:02
Hi there! I'm a daughter of long line of people with epilepsy in my family, including my brother and father. I'm actually here to ask a question about my 18yr old boyfriend. When he sees strobe lights of any kind, he will immediately get a nose bleed, have a horrible headache, and will feel light headed, then tired. I've seen the after symptoms in my dad and brother. Initially I thought these may be petite mal seizures, but he doesn't know whether or not he loses consciousness because when the lights happen he's usually watching a video. I just want to know whether I should be wary of full seizures from him, or if this isn't even related to epilepsy.

well it depends on a few factors1. How often does it happen (If it does not happen often it could be a thing that happens a few times then goes away for the rest of his life)2. Is he conscious ? (you should probably look out for that)3. (not all seizures cause all people to go unconcius)
