RNS-Regal Nerve Stimulator

Sat, 02/13/2016 - 23:40

Has anyone here tried the RNS? My neurologist is recommending the RNS, not the VNS. He believes it is more effective but, it seems like a new machine so I'm not sure what to think of it. Anyone have it?

Hi donscuda,I have bilateral  heterotophia. My doctors are currently consodering the RNS on The right side of my brain and ablasion surgery on the left. I am VERY new to the RNS. I am curious how often you have to change the battery, if that has occurred yet. My Nuro was saying every so often when the RNS sends a charge to stop the seizure patients report feeling dizzy (which is very common for me as it is)  or mild headaches. I was wondering if you feel anything.
