On May 19th the father of my children passed away due to a seizure he had surgery on March 21st to get vns to help with his seizure but it didn't do anything because he no longer is with us. All he wanted was to be cure and free from the pain and everything that comes with this disease.

I'm so sorry for your loss. SUDEP is a problem people often don't know about until it's too late. you can still contact the national foundation or the local foundation affiliate to talk to people about SUDEP. VNS is something that makes a difference over many months, not an instant fix to anything. like so many issues surrounding epilepsy, it's frustrating finding better control for many patients.

Im so very sorry for your loss. I have a 12 year old son with epilipsy and autism. This is my worst fear with the seizures. I have never heard of anyone passing away due to one. Im again so very sorry for your loss.
