Weirdness day after seizure

Thu, 07/26/2018 - 14:25
I have right temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE).. Last night I had a focal aware seizure. Today I feel very strange... I feel a bit unfocused, out of it, and tired. Which I think is normal... What's weird is my memory of yesterday feels off? Almost like the day was a dream, or the memories are not mine. My seizures have been relatively under control since being on lamotrigine. I used to have them every day, now I have one only every 1-2 months. I can't remember if I have had this weird experience before after seizures or not. Just curious if anyone else has this feeling. Maybe I am just really tired. Thanks

I also have focal epilepsy

I also have focal epilepsy and if I have a seizure, I will feel unwell for the rest of the day and lack focus/very tired for a few days after. My memory seems to be quite bad anyway since starting lamotrogine but it is helping with the seizures. I tend to get a few of the 'build up' feelings but its been a while since Ive had the 'full' focal.

I have focal aware and focal

I have focal aware and focal unaware seizures which both used to go generalized quite often.  I still have the focal seizures but I don't go generalized like I did 35 years ago.  Back then it was after my generalized seizures I slept for a day or two.  Then I went through this incredible pattern.  I would often go to town with my mother who went shopping.  While at the grocery store I saw people whom I was sure I recognized.  As I passed them and gave a friendly look they gave me the look, "who was that?"  Then at checkout I pointed to people I was sure I recognized but mother confirmed they were not any people whom we knew.I also went through a period of moderate depression, and another experience which I felt foolish to ever tell about.  Everything others said and all that went on among the family made me feel like laughing.  Like the children who lay in bed and can't stop giggling when they are so tired I went through a period for a day or two where I had to restrain myself from laughing about things. That was my weirdest experience from seizures.
