I am 76yrs and had a stroke 18 months ago, and a few months after that I had my first seizure. Then every few months I would have another one, they got progressively worse. The last one I had, about a month ago, was very bad. I cannot remember anything, I was in intensive care for 3 days . The medication is also on maximum dose. I have worked very hard to get were I am today. Starting in the hospital, rehabilitation has been hard but I insist on doing as much as I can by my self. I have a full time carer who lives in , but I insist on doing as much I can my self. I cannot cook my self, but I have progressed very well. I speech quite good has I have really worked on it. When I came out of rehab my daughter took me to the local gym and i was helped in to the pool, to do water excises. I started off for 10 min and worked up to 45min over many months. I am typing this message with my phone by my side to check on my spelling, which is the part on the brain that was a affected.
