Psychosomatic or is there something really wrong.

I pray this reaches someone that has similarities as I. I believe that what is going on is possibly due to permanent effects of my anti-depressants; my mother thinks it could be psychosomatic. My Story: So I have been suffering from depression for most of my life ( I'm 34); I have yet to get it under control with medication. Back in January, I started taking Effexor XR and about 4 months later my dr had me max out. Please note. I have never had the following symptoms prior to taking this medication. Shortly after starting to taking Effexor I would have these weird feelings when my smoke detector (I'm, not a bad cook; just a very sensitive detector) would go off. I ended up videotaping it and I caught my eyes shaking from side to side. Well needless to say it started getting worse. Any high decidable noise would make it kick in and it started really affecting my vision. Well, I started seeing a new doctor and he pulled me off right away because I was also having episodes where my heart rate would jump up to 160-180 BPM. Called it serotonin syndrome. Well, the only problem is I came off the Effexor and nothing stopped. I went on and off three SSRIS meds and now nothing and it is still bad. I'm now where any high pitch noises of ANY kind, induces what my PCP is calling Acoustic inducted partial seizors. It's like my whole brain shuts down and starts shaking and pulsating. I lose my footing and feel like I am about to pass out. It's so strange and it's really starting to scare me. So I was referred to a neurologist. Now that was a fun and exciting trip. He had never heard of anything that I was going through and expressed that it was something "exotic" and referred me elsewhere. I'm totally lost and need some guidance. Either my mother is right and it is psychosomatic or there really is something wrong with me.
