New on here

Hi everyone, I am new on here but sadly not new to living life with epilepsy. I had my first seizure at the age of 11. I was diagnosed as having grand mal seizures. I am now 37 and I have been seziure free for 3 years. I came off my medication when I was 20 as I was pregnant with my first daughter. ( a decision I made myself) The reason why I write here is I whilst I have been sezuire free for a long time I live daily with a constant anxiety of having a seizure. I have 2 daughters now and a good job, and I really try and push myself to live a normal life. My question is to you all does having epilepsy affect you like this? Tiredness, feeling really hot and anxious in certain situations and just generally feeling really off and unable to concentrate. Has anyone else grown out of having seizures and how do they cope. Thankyou for taking the time to read.

Hello.I think the longer you go without a seizure the more the stress piles on. Because you know it is going to happen eventually. I deffinetly get anxious sometimes while in public places or when stressed. (Occipital lobe epilepsy).I just joined. Sorry not much help. I cope by knowing that if its going to happen its going to happen!!. I will not be embarrassed or ashamed if i have a seizure. Live your life.. you have 2 daughters so your going pretty good lol.. Have a good night.
