Looking for Advice\ Suggestion

My son is 6 years old. He had his first seizure when he was 2 days old. He was admitted to the hospital for 2 weeks. He was then put on seizure control medication. He went a year without having a seizure while on the medication. He was 3 years seizure free no medication. Beside his learning difficulties he was a normal kid. Last year he started K1, Had his first seizure in 3 years, he was taken to the ER. They didn't put him on medication. He had another seizure, in November 2017. Thats when he was put on Keppra. Fast forward a year later and he has been seizure free. He has had MRI's, EEG scans. that show some seizure activity. I have been trying to get him approved for SSI. They are making it very difficult. Just looking for advice. My son hasn't had a seizure because hes on the seizure controlled medication. Can he still get SSI.

The best advice I can give you is to keep trying and get a good disability lawyer. I tried twice without then got results with the lawyer.

I have lots of respect for you trying to cope with the condition and outstanding education. My daughter is 9 and was diagnosed with epilepsy just last week and is on Lamictal for couple days now. My worries if the seizures conditions or the medicine would affect her learning and decline her inteligence over time? Thank you
