Jme and me

Fri, 06/08/2018 - 05:46
I was diagnosed at 14 with JME after some bad grandmals. Even with medication, I’ve had a hard time controlling my seizures over the years. They’ve gotten better in my thirties, but I did have seizures while pregnant with both of my children. Epilepsy runs in my family. My mother has it and grandparents and cousins on both sides. Yesterday my 3 year old was diagnosed. I feel absolutely awful. Witnessing him having a seizure was the worst thing in the world because I never thought I would really pass it on. I feel stuck in a rabbit hole about self blame and guilt. I still have seizures from time to time and All my fears are just brought back up to being 14 again. Im just desperately seeking someone who can relate or help. Thank you and God bless
