Grand-mal seizure with speech arrest

Sat, 01/27/2018 - 03:56
Okay I'm 19 years old. In 2011, I first recognised this speech arrest in me. It's like when I read or study, I feel something abnormal with mouth muscles of left side which doesn't allow me to move my tongue and speak properly. I thought it's normal with everyone so I didn't pay attention to it. Later in Jan, 2015 at midnight I was studying for my exam and I felt same but I ignored and continued studying which resulted in a grand mal seizure. I just remember my mouth muscles stretching, a loud voice and then I fainted. My family was there so they picked me at the same moment. It lasted for 2-3 minutes only. I bit my tongue and I peed. Later I was confused and tired also. All my tests (EEG, MRI and CT scan were clear as per my doctor) They started me on Keppra 1000 mg daily. For 2 years I was seizure free with regular medication. They took my MRI again it was clear. All my blood tests were also clear. So my doctor told me that soon they'll start to end my medicine. Then in Oct,2017 I got another same seizure. Now my doctor increased Keppra dose to 1500 mg daily. I don't know but for some reason I'm not happy with my current doctor. I feel like nothing's wrong with me. or even if it is I should have some information about it. Like is it still considered as a "Disease" or just an abnormality. And what can I do for my speech arrest? Please help.
