Did I have a seizure in my sleep?

Sun, 08/26/2018 - 10:18
I just woke up in a lot of pain. In my dream, i was having a massive seizure. There was uncontrollable shaking and a humming noise. My body was rolling from side to side. My face is still tingling and my body aches. My blankets were not on me. I felt my eyes rolling. I have never been diagnosed with epilepsy, only sleep paralysis. This was different from that. I remember my doctor from the past asking me if I had seizures, but never recommended testing. I would love to know if it was a seizure or not. I have no insurance so I don't know if I will ever be able to get proper testing. Still tingling in my arms and face. I feel super tired.

Doctors listen to what is

Doctors listen to what is said and work from there to come up with a diagnosis. There are seizures where the people do not have convulsive seizures. I can have a seizure today and the only thing that happens in them is my hand feels numb and I can not move it. Before when I had seizures which kept me from responding. In class the teachers would ask a question and my answer came out after the teacher had gone to the next student and was asking them the question. I was getting written up for daydreaming in class. Those day dreams were actually seizures. Your doc asking if you had seizures ruled out epilepsy because you said you didn't have seizures. What you described in your post could have been a seizure. If they are not treated then they may get stronger and become more rapid. We didn't worry much about my episodes since they weren't convulsive and I was one of the top students when it came to pop quizzes. They became more frequent and stronger. Then I had a grand mal while at school. After that I was diagnosed with epilepsy. You might discuss this issue with your regular doctor and see what they think since they can prescribe meds to stop the seizures. Understand that your body not being able to move could be seizures since in most seizures your body will not respond until the seizure is over.
