OMG! You just reminded me

OMG! You just reminded me that I have that, too, when my meds are changed!p.s., I had a pacemaker after birth of eldest (grandson's Mummy, due to irregular, usually tachycardiac beats. Now pacemaker dependant.Less than a minute agoSallyann MansfieldI am extremely concerned about my 4 1/2-year-old grandson, who developed normally for his first three months, plateaued, then regressed. After my daughter's diligence and perseverance, he had many tests, with a (non) diagnosis of being a @SWAN (Syndrome Without A Name) baby. When taking care of him, having him lying flat on his changing table, I've observed many brief seizures (eye rolling, chin juddering, little response) but he returned to normal immediately after being picked up. However, last week, he had a longer seizure 5< +, which my daughter recorded. During this, he rolled his eyes back, had spasmodic 'grins' ~ making me think 'gelastic', and had intermittent shuddering breathing. His legs also seemed to become more 'spastic'. Mummy & Daddy used calm, familiar voices and language, which seemed to get a response, but he only really came-to when sat more upright, rather than flat his back. Looking at other people's experiences and thinking back to my family, I believe that there is more of a genetic connection than previously considered. 1) In 1960, my elder brother was found dead (blood had already pooled on body parts facing down), and as they didn't use the term Cot Death then (SIDS), his death certificate said respiratory failure. 2) I was born 1962, apparently normal, but always reported by school as 'tends to daydream' (yes, ... kids...) but I know I drifted off regularly when I was older. 3) Younger brother, (1964) then diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, but the similarities with my grandson are extraordinary. 4) Male cousin born early 60's had epilepsy, died 1984, after apparently having a seizure during a midnight swim. 5) His younger sister (now in her early 40's) has epilepsy (managed). 6) In the past 6 years, since my husband's death, I have received a variety of medications to treat anxiety, depression, sociophobia and insomnia, but it's only recently become a noticeable pattern to me, that what I referred to as 'night terrors', where I'd thrash out and hurt myself, have actually become noticeable when level & combo of meds have been changed. I do 'daydream/go blank', and even while awake during the night (sometimes 60 hours +, I have involuntary spasms, kicking out, thrashing arms, talking gibberish, feeling permanently exhausted). During the few days of this, I also become overemotional, reactive, unusual spontaneous anger, paranoia &c..I stay at home/in bed when this happens, as I don't feel safe to drive or walk alone. I've always been scared of being labelled as a hypochondriac (fine), but now there seems to be a connection between us all and my grandson's latest issues.Mummy & Daddy have been told that he has a short life expectancy. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!! Does anyone identify with this situation, and, with our latest experience & research, have any answers, suggestions? PLEASE  :'(  My younger daughter is due to start a family. This is vital to us all. MY eldest (grandson's Mummy) has chosen to be sterilised, to save having another undiagnosed, very poorly child. Feel free to contact me @thechaosfaery@hotmail.com. Desperate to learn.

Hello, I'm also new here. I had a "brain shiver" about two months ago. I also felt a lot of pressure at the back of my head. Lasted about a minute and went away and then my breathing became very constricted. It was really weird and really scared me. I'm going to talk to my neurologist about it. Tbh it's kinda nice to hear that I'm not the only one this has happened to. Hope your ok :)
