Can you be fired for being epileptic?

Sat, 10/18/2014 - 00:04
My boyfriend was doing great at his new job. He told his boss on the first interview about his epilepsy everything was good. My boyfriend had just got a promotion and shortly after had a small seizure. They told him to take 2 days off he told them it wouldn't be necessary he was good but they insisted he rest. After he came back they said everything was good then the next day he was informed he was being fired because they looked into epilepsy and insurance they might need and that he was to big of a liability. Can they really fire him for being epileptic?
