Side effects of Keppra in 7 year old

Wed, 12/05/2018 - 22:28
My daughter has been taking Keppra since January. When she initially began Keppra, and we had our 3 month appt with the neuro, we asked the neuro if Keppra can cause stomach pain in children. She denied it. My husband and I put it in the past with the occurrence seeming to be fewer than before. Well...now that it is December with in increase in medication dose in October (She is growing so fast), it seems to be for the past week and a half, she has been "sick" with vomiting et nausea. It is intermittent, coming and going day by day. Is this something that someone else also has in common?

common side effects are listed here - https://reference.medscape.com/drug/keppra-spritam-levetiracetam-343013#4But ask for more checks/follow up - maybe easy stuff at first like a common blood test to see if everything looks ok - e.g. hyponatremia while not common can cause nausea and cramps so while nausea might not be listed specificallly, it may be a symptom of some other issue listed.
