Believe me you are not alone. I have two children with epilepsy. My daughter started as a baby and grew out of them until she was five. They then returned as partial seizures. Mainly in her sleep but some during the day. At the same time she developed tics. Whether these are related or not we are not sure. My son developed occipital epilepsy when he was four. He started off with one seizure on a Sunday afternoon and during a two week period they came every two hours. His are complex partial. They are both on medication and thankfully we have many seizure free days. The occasional stare or small one we can live with. We take comfort in the fact that they dont seem fazed by them. Its my husband and I that find it difficult to live with. They are both in main stream school and are learning normally. Thats all that matters. We will live with the epilepsy and all the meds they take. If they are smiling then we are too. Keep smiling your not alone. love trudy
