Raising meds before eeg

Hi all I’ve written on here a few times, my son has what is believed nocturnal seizures. He is on a Trokendi XR. The dr raised his meds back in January and for 2 months no bed wetting. Last week 4 days he wet the bed one of those nights he described waking up feeling like he couldn’t move and said he wasn’t dreaming but had a weird sensation almost like a dream. We called the dr he said he wanted him to do a 48 hour eeg but wanted us to raise the medication before the test. Why would they want to complete the test on a higher level of meds?wouldnt it make sense to get a sense of what’s going on with the current dose? Thanks

What kind of seizures does he have? These sound like some episodes my daughter is having, waking up or while falling asleep and can't move but aware and feels something in her head.
