I can't speak for everyone but for myself the actual sz is not painful after is the headache is pounding and the body acheing is like I ran a marathon. I am new to sz my onset was only 16 months ago so my dr suggested to keep a daily journal and as time has had it I have learned some of my aura's before my sz happens. Maybe by keeping a journal on your son will also help you help him. God Bless

Hi! My 3 year old would say that her head hurt or she would cry holding her head, we had to change medicine even though it was the best at controlling her seizures. I would check with the Dr. about his dose. Has anyone talked about migranes I have heard some say that sometimes a seizure will bring on migranes, that was just others not a Dr. so I do not know how true but just a thought. I hope that you all get to the bottom of this. Good luck to you -Emily Klairs mom
