HI my daughter Kyla started having seizures at 11weeks old she is now almost 3 and We have tried 6 different meds, and are currently weing off the ketogenic diet, I am supposed to be looking for increased seizures therfore we will stay on it a little longer but some days are good and some are still bad. I am always afraid to make wrong choices .Right now we are also starting to transition her to start school when she turns 3 in March. Kyla has several different types of seizure disoders and she does not talk and I'm so afraid of her having a seizure where she gets stiff and falls strait back and could really hurt her self on those hard floors! I aplogize if this letter is jumpy or confusing but this is my first time doing anything like this! And Iwanted to get our story out there. I would really like to talk. I have been trying to stay so up beat but sometimes when she goes to bed I let my thoughts and worrys get the best of me. thanks for listing !!!!!!!

Jennifer, It has to be very hard for you with your daughter. I know when I went to school, my mom worried all day long that I would have a seizure there. But it truely didnt help my mom. FOr she was getting herself sick and then I didnt get the right help I needed. But your daughter needs you now and she also needs you not worry as much and put your mind to finding another way to help her seizures. For it can be very hard to deal with the whole situation. take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
