Feeling a little sad

Sun, 07/23/2006 - 22:03
My 5 year old had a seizure in March (a few several months before that) and had not had another one until this morning in her sleep. She has a childhood form that she is expected to outgrow. What sucks is when you don't see a seizure for so many months, you get lulled into a false sense of safety and hope things have progressed and when one comes back, it really hurts and throws your emotions back into a tailspin. I just need to stay strong for her.

I know exactly how you feel. My son went 182 days without a seizure... then out of the blue (just like they started) BAM! and have lost control since. Waiting for the other shoe to drop... hurry up and wait to be devestated.. hopes dashed to the ground... Been there done that still doing it. I usually cry when all are asleep, and that usually helps. By the time my son wakes up I am ready to handle the world. So here's to YOU... (HUGS) and stay strong.

Thanks for your kind words. I know what you mean about sometimes having tears when noone else is around. I think it is important to let that out sometimes. Day by day.....
