Aunty with 20mnth Neice with Seizure Disorder

Hi, I live in Australia/Brisbane and my sisters child is 20 months and has seizure disorder. Her ECG's are normal. But her seizures are severe and uncontrollable.
She appears to have reasonably normal milestones however does not talk as yet except for 1 or 2 words.
She is an exceptionally beautiful child and I am hoping by joining here to make Australia contacts that may help my sister and also looking for some online support.
My sister does not have a computer so if I get started here and then she does finally get one I will direct her here with some of you already having some knowledge.
I look forward to learning more.

thanks littlebug for your response... you have a good idea there with the cow etc... i will suggest that to my sister.

my daughters eegs are always normal it doesnt change the fact that she has seizures.eegs only show seizure activity if there having a problem at that moment.my daughter is fairly well controlled so nothing has showen on the tests.it can seem fustrating that the test come up normal but they still have a problem.my niece didnt start talking until she was 2 and a half.she is now 12 and we cant get her to stop.if by 3 she still isnt talking then there might be a problem.tell your sister to hang in there.there might be some rough moments but she has to remember all the fun ones.my daughter wasnt to much older when she started having seizures,she almost six now.I started her out with a special hospital baby.its made her alittle less afraid.she even has moo-moo the blood work cow and bad dream cow.this has helped her threw all of her blood test.good luck
