67 year old sister not eating

Sun, 08/19/2018 - 16:45
My mentally handicapped Sister had 3 back to back to back seizures in May about 3 mins each and 2-3 mins in between. Since then her appetite has gone to nothing. She also had compression fractures from either falling or during seizure. She developed Osteomyelitis and just finished treatment for that. But she just won’t eat. Some days it’s 2-3 bites and most days nothing but Coke or Mt Dew. She is on Kepra. Just worried to death because she is rapidly trending towards palliative care. She has been in the hospital for the last 3 weeks. Any ideas on anything to help her appetite.

Has any doctor examined and

Has any doctor examined and treated her for depression?  Frequently seizures can lead to "post-ictal depression" and one of the symptoms of depression can be decreased appetite.
