New mother w/ epilepsy

Fri, 01/12/2018 - 13:37
Hi everyone, I have never done one of these before but figured it wouldn’t hurt. I have juvenile myclonic epilepsy (JME). Diagnosed @ 15 (I am now 31) been on multiple medicines etc... anyways just had my first baby, baby boy. He is 5 months now. I am having a very rough time (mind you we have been through other things) I just feel like I am always exhausted and am just having a very hard time adjusting. Any mothers w/ epilepsy out there have advice or anything? I’m trying my best to stay positive, but feel it’s hard often. It would be nice to chat with people who understand the stress, fatigue, etc! Hope to hear from you guys! Have a good day!

I am a mom to a 2month old boy and it truly is exhausting.  I also have an 11 year old and can assure you it does get better.
