Was wondering with flu season here if it’s recomennded if u get the flu or exposed that it’s recommended to take Tamiflu ? My daughter was diagnosed with complex partial seizures and secondary generalized seizure 6 mo ago . She is on keppra and doing great . But normally every year one of us gets the flu even with us all getting flu vaccinations. My. Fear. Is if she gets the flu and the fevers cause seizures or can the Tamiflu have heard such mixed reviews . She has had tamiflu in the past w\o any problems but was before diagnoses. I have a message to her neurologist to get there recommendations but just was wondering any experiences.

Any illness can lower the thresholds of medications. I knew that years ago but do watch her and do check with her neurologist and always check and make sure all her doctors know all the different medications she takes which means over the counter meds too. A medication to treat one issue can counter a medication for another issue or illnessI hope this helpsJoe
