Taking Keppra for meant for pets.

Mon, 12/30/2019 - 22:37
Is it safe to to take Keppra XR meant for cats and dogs? It's pretty cheap online and my Health Provider (Robert Half) is a joke. I meds fast and animal meds seem tempting. Humans are animal after all right? This might seem like a joke but times are tough with when Republicans don't give D**** about poor people.

Hi,Thank you for posting. We understand this can be a very frustrating and expensive process. However, we do have resources available that can help and would not recommend taking medication that is meant for cats and dogs. My husband was given Keppra

My husband was given Keppra when he was hospitalized for a seizure.  He took it for 3 months but was very agitated.  We discussed it with our Neuro who said Keppra is not suited for normally agitated, type “A”, anxious patients.  Therefore we transitioned to something else.  Other than the agitation issue it controlled his seizures.
