Are seizures possible during a medication change process?

Thu, 06/21/2018 - 10:07
Hi there, was just wondering if anyone has experienced having seizures when you were in the process of changing your medications? I'm on week 6 of an 8 week schedule of changing from Dilantin to Lamotrigine and had a big seizure in my sleep the other day and another small one possibly week 5. I haven't been able to find any information on this and am waiting to hear back from my doctor. It's hard to tell if these are a breakthrough seizures or regular ones. I really have no pattern for my seizures and made the decision with my doctor to change meds. based on the fact that the Dilantin didn't seem to be working anymore after having seizures after being over 15 years seizure free. Thanks so much for your input.
