a really useful practice

hey, ive had epilepsy for a while now, and i just felt like posting on here one of the things that has helped me deal with my seizures the best. this isnt so much on the medication side of it, as that is really what helps the most, but for the seizures themselves, i have found that the most devastating aspect of them isnt so much the convulsions but the impact from a fall. a few years into my epilepsy i got heavily into yoga, increasing the flexibility of as much of my body as possible, and found that this greatly reduced the amount of damage that i was receiving. it took less time for my muscles to feel better, and people who saw me have the seizures said that there was a noticable difference in how i fell down as my body was naturally less tense, seizing aside, upon impact. meditation helps clear ones mind after they have woken up from a period of rest following the seizure as well. i hope this helps anyone it can
