Does anyone know if these 'dizzy spells' are seizures?

Hi, I'm 18 years old and was diagnosed with epilepsy a few months ago (from having tonic-clonic seizures in my sleep). Around the time of my first seizure I started having these weird dizzy spells, where I become extremely dizzy for around half a minute and see a flashing light in my vision. When the dizziness and light flashing stops my peripheral vision disappears for anywhere between a minute to a few minutes, mainly in my left eye. I have experienced the majority of them in the shower or when sleep deprived, and even once after exercising. I know that you can get weird migraines which can present themselves in this sort of way, but I never get any headaches or head pain from it. I actually experienced a few of these episodes when I was little (around 5 yo) but they disappeared after a year or two. Starting lamictal initially increased the number of these 'dizzy spells' I was experiencing, but after slowly increasing the dose I had a 6 week period without experiencing one. Although, I still have one every now and then. My neurologist said it could be a form of a seizure, but wasn't quite sure. Anyone experience anything similar?

yes i have had hany. This is only my experience but lamictal works better when used in addition with another med. So I take lamictal with oxcarbapazine. It seems to work. But remember this is just my experience. I wish you the best of luck.   ct
