Seizures triggered by other people..

Tue, 11/27/2018 - 22:29
How do I tell people they are potentially about to trigger a seizure without coming off...I don’t know, self centered or being dramatic? When other people are talking too loud or too fast, I have ahead and feel really sick like I’m about to have a seizure. I’ve thrown up multiple times from it, usually accompanied by focal seizures. I usually don’t tell people. I just try to deal with it and hope the intense feelings stop. I know that I need to tell people, but how do I do it without coming off wrong or seeming like I’m telling them I can’t hear about their feelings or problems or whatever they’re talking/yelling about at the time?

That is supposed to say “I have auras”, not “I have ahead”

I flat out tell people I have

I flat out tell people I have epilepsy and to loud or fast triggers a seizure. I go to family for the holidays, if it gets too hot from bodies or cooking heat I have to go outside. My wife keeps an eye on me. Just be up front and relaxed and say it. When I meet new people that I wil talk to I let them know and don't always keep up with conversations.
