scared i guess
Thu, 12/02/2004 - 13:19i have recently met someone who is so lovely, but tells me he has epilepsy. He has his last seizure in December where he hit his head quite badly.I have never some across epilepsy before and i am wqorried if he fits while im there. I am not sure what I would be supposed to do and think i would be afraid.I know this is selfish but really would like advice.Amanda x

First of all there not called fits there seizures.Ask him what kind of seizures he has.What to do.If his are anything like mine you might be able to lead him out of the way of harming himself.If he falls a lot try get anything sharp out of his way.put something under his head that is soft never stick anything in his mouth.Let him finish the seizure there is nothing u can do to stop it.Let him rest after it.Talked to him about how u feel.He should be able reassure u better.
