And, here’s my recipe for homemade ginger ale (because ginger ale doesn’t really have ginger and it is filled with sugar)
Ingredients
2 cups water
One 6 inch piece of ginger sliced into thin slices
1 tablespoon powdered ginger
2 tablespoons powdered stevia or 2 teaspoons liquid stevia (perhaps more to taste)
Instructions:
Boil water and sliced ginger
Whisk in powdered ginger and stevia
Simmer on medium low until reduced by 1/2 about 10 minutes
Strain off ginger slices with slotted spoon or strainer
Cool
Add 3 tablespoons of ginger reduction and a squeeze of lime to 1 cup seltzer water or club soda
Enjoy!
Love and light everyone! Epilepsy can be a gift and not a burden. I wish you all the best on your journey!

OMG, thank you so much for this recipe! I keep ginger beer stocked for my postictal phase, it's good for nausea. I had no idea it could be used for prevention! I'm gonna up my Chai intake haha, amazing! If you have more info to share on how epilepsy can be a gift and not a burden, i'm open to learning more. I am at a new stage, where I am finally fully embracing this as a part of me. I accept it as the gift it is. And i'm excited to learn more about viewing my epilepsy as a gift, and not being afraid of it or ashamed about it.
