Faces bringing on a seizure

Fri, 06/25/2004 - 11:54
I was wondering if anyone out there has this problem. I go to a gym after work and just the other day I seen someone I haven't seen in a long time. When I seen this person memories came to me. Right there a seizure started to come on. I have had this before with faces and people I haven't seen in awhile. Now once I look away the seizure starts to go away I look back and it starts back up again. Now I have had brain surgery and never had this problem before surgery. I had the left temp done. Has anyone else gone threw something like this when memories like this come to you please let me know thanks Limeridge.

I have had similar situations. There is one woman who when I see her I get a feeling. I never have a seizure, but the feeling is similar to the "aura" I feel before having a seizure. I can't explain it right, but I'm sure you can understand what I mean about a "feeling" I thought it was strange and try to avoid her.

This is the first post I have seen that relates seizure activity to an emotion. I started having seizures after my Dad decided to sell the family property for health care funds. It was the only thing he could do, I don't fault him that, but I was much more affected than I realized by loosing our family home. A month later I had my first seizure. For quite a while I would be intensly anxious at the start and be thinking about my Dad when I came out of the seizures, so I know they were related somehow. That is not the case now, I have a mild aura now and rarely a seizure. I am just confused and disoriented when I come out of them now. (medication) I would be interested to hear if more people do have an emotional triggers. Mer
